Eduard von Richter

Gustav Christoph Eduard von Richter (born March 5, 1790 in Neu-Kusthof, Livonia ; † May 6, 1847 ) was a Livonian land marshal .

Life

Eduard von Richter came from the Baltic noble family von Richter . His father was the Livonian state politician Otto Magnus von Richter (1755-1826).

Eduard von Richter studied at Moscow University from 1808 and in Heidelberg in 1809. In 1809 he became a member of the Corps Curonia Heidelberg. After completing his studies, he returned to Livonia and owned various manors there. He owned the Neu-Kusthof estate until 1844, the Löweküll estate from 1829 to 1844, the Bentenhof estate since 1828 and the Rappin estate since 1836. He was also the owner of the Wainsel estate.

1818 by Judge Rules Judges of the circle Werro and 1827 Dorpater Kreisdeputierter. From 1836 to 1838 he was the Livonian land marshal. In 1837 he was elected district administrator. He was curator of the noble fräuleinstift in Fellin. His brother was the philologist and researcher Otto Friedrich von Richter .
