Eduardo Esteban Martínez (born September 25, 1961 in Necochea , Argentina ) is a former Argentine volleyball and beach volleyball player and participant in four Olympic Games.

Career hall

Martínez played volleyball in his home country with Ferro Carril Oeste in the 1980s , with whom he was several times Argentine champion. With the Argentine national team , he won the bronze medal at the 1982 World Cup in his own country . In 1984 he finished sixth at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and in 1988 he won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Seoul .

Career Beach

Martínez has played beach volleyball on the FIVB World Tour since 1992 . Until 2000 he formed a duo with Martín Conde . Martínez / Conde achieved a World Tour victory in 1996, 1997 and 1998. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 they came in 13th place. In 2000 in Sydney they finished ninth. They also took part in two world championships. In 2001 Martínez played with José Salema at the World Cup in Klagenfurt, among others. After a brief comeback in 2005, Martínez ended his international career.
