Edward Totty Anderson (born December 21, 1883 in Newcastle upon Tyne , † 1975 ) was an English football player .

Career

Anderson was active as a center forward for Willington Athletic in the Northern Alliance before he, like his teammate Charles Johnson , moved to Sheffield United in the Football League First Division in the summer of 1905 , which after the departure of reserve center forward Frank Edgley to Fulham FC Needed. In Sheffield in the 1905/06 season mostly the international Arthur Brown occupied the center forward position. Anderson made his debut on February 17, 1906 against Derby County , but remained in the 1-0 win without a goal and was subsequently no longer considered. The following season Anderson joined the Queens Park Rangers club, playing in the Southern League , and scored on his debut against Luton Town (final score 1-1). After four games in the center forward position, he was also repeatedly used as a left and right half- forward . In the 1906/07 season he made 18 appearances (3 goals) - the team finished the season in third from last place - he only belonged to the squad once again in the following season, when the Rangers won the championship in the Southern League secured.

Alex White (The Men Who Made Fulham Football Club) contradicts this, u. a. Anderson finds mention in a game report by Willington in February 1904 (see game report in the Jarrow Express of February 12, 1904), in the same period an Edward Anderson also played games at Fulham.
