Edward McClellan Cummins (born July 25, 1886 in Chicago , Illinois , † November 21, 1926 in New Britain , Connecticut ) was an American golfer .

biography

Edward Cummins played golf at the Exmoor Country Club . At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis , he was Olympic champion with the Western Golf Association in team competition . In the individual, however, he was eliminated in the first round against Francis Newton .

His father, Benjamin Franklin Cummins , was president of the Western Golf Association in 1904 . His uncle was the politician Albert B. Cummins .
