Edward Dajczak

Edward Dajczak (born February 16, 1949 in Świebodzin , Poland ) is Bishop of Koszalin-Kolobrzeg (German: Köslin-Kolberg).

Life

After elementary school and high school, he attended the seminary in Gościkowie-Paradyz . On June 15, 1975 he received the sacrament of ordination from Bishop Wilhelm Pluta in Gorzów . After several vicar positions, he was appointed Caritas director to the cathedral chapter in 1985. From 1986 to 1988 he was secretary to Bishop Józef Michalik . Then it was the sub- rain and rain of the seminary.

On 15 December 1989 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To auxiliary bishop in Gorzow and titular bishop of Azura . He received his episcopal ordination on January 6, 1990 in Rome from the Pope himself. On June 23, 2007 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Koszalin-Kolobrzeg. The bishop's initiation in St. Mary's Church, Cathedral in Köslin took place on August 11, 2007 and on the following day in the co- cathedral of the Assumption in Kolberg.

The coat of arms shows a white Christ monogram on a red field and underneath it the M from the coat of arms of Pope John Paul II. Behind the shield there is the bishop's cross, above the green galero (bishop's hat ) with the six hanging green tassels (fiocchi). His motto Eat in Christ (Being in Christ) - Life in Christ.
