Edward Rennie
Edward Henry Rennie (born August 19, 1852 in Balmain , Sydney , † January 8, 1927 in Adelaide ) was an Australian scientist and President of the Royal Society of South Australia .
He received his Masters from the University of Sydney in 1876 , taught for a while, and then went to London to study chemistry. At the local St Mary's Hospital he was assistant to Charles Romley Alder Wright . After brief teaching at the Royal College of Science in South Kensington , he earned his Doctor of Science in 1881 and returned to Australia the following year.
