Marcel Stutter (born March 6, 1988 in Kamen ) is a German football player who is used in all central midfield positions, but has also been used as a center forward .

Career

Marcel Stutter started playing football in his hometown of Kamen with VfL Kamen before joining the youth team at Rot Weiss Ahlen . With the A-youth , Stutter played in the U-19 Bundesliga from 2005 to 2007 , but at the end of 2006 he made it to the squad of the second team that played in the Oberliga Westfalen . By the summer of 2008, Stutter came there to thirty-three missions and scored a goal, but did not make the jump into the first team squad.

In the summer of 2008 he then moved to the NRW league club FC Gütersloh 2000 , where he scored six goals in 30 games. After the club's relegation in the summer of 2009, Stutter joined his hometown club and district league club VfL Kamen .

After two years he moved to the newly promoted national division SV Holzwickede . There he was one of the top performers with 16 goals in 28 games that helped the club to get promoted to the Westphalia League in summer 2012 . He attracted some clubs to the attention; so he completed a trial training with third division Arminia Bielefeld , where he was able to convince, but could not be committed due to a lack of financial resources.

A short time later, his stepfather gave him the opportunity to audition with Borussia Dortmund's chief scout Sven Mislintat, where he was able to convince with his responsiveness and accuracy. Mislintat then put Stutter in contact with the Dutch first division club NEC Nijmegen , who took him to a one-week training camp in mid-July 2012, where he was able to fully convince coach Alex Pastoor . At the end of July 2012 he was then signed by NEC Nijmegen. He signed a one-year contract until the end of June 2013 with an option for another year. On August 12, 2012, Stutter made his professional debut on the 1st matchday of the 2012/13 season when he came on as a substitute for Geert Arend Roorda in the away game against SC Heerenveen (2-0) in the 78th minute . After twelve appearances in its first year, the club withdrew the contract option for another season. In his second year at NEC Nijmegen Marcel Stutter drew the game against Ajax Amsterdam (0: 3) a Syndesmosebandriss including fracture of the fibula to and fell in six months. Nijmegen also got down from the Eredivisie and Stutter left the club. He returned to his homeland and initially kept fit with the futsal team Deportivo Unna .

In November 2014 he joined the regional league team BSV Rehden . For the 2016/17 season , Stutter moved to the fourth-class amateur team of Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg .

Others

While Marcel Stutter ran up as a striker at the lower-class clubs in Germany , he was signed by NEC Nijmegen as a sixth or playmaker . In order to be able to use his chance at the Dutch first division club, Stutter was released from his employer, the drugstore chain Rossmann , for a year. The change only came about because Stutter had explicitly written a clause in his contract according to which he could change in the event of an offer from a higher-class club.
