Petritsch lives in Graz and studies German . First he was the singer and guitarist of the band Goodbye Kitty . He first became known in Graz with the solo project Effi, but has already toured throughout Austria and Germany. His debut album Astronaut was released in 2011, where he played all instruments (guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, keyboard, harmonica, etc.) himself as a solo artist in addition to writing the texts and compositions.

As a solo musician, he uses his laptop as an instrument on which he plays loops and compositions and sings along with them. He performs live in a trio with jazz drummer Roland Hanslmair and bassist Martin List or, since 2013, in a large line-up with a five-piece band.

He gained greater fame through the film The Unintentional Abduction of Mrs. Elfriede Ott , in which two songs from his debut album Astronaut appear. As a support he played at concerts by Paolo Nutini and Joe Cocker .

In 2015 he wrote the title song for the film Planet Ottakring and founded the band Granada , which entered the Austrian charts in autumn 2016 with the debut album of the same name.
