The Eggeberg (also: Egge ) is 232.5 m above sea level. NN high mountain in Herford in East Westphalia in the Herford district .
The mountain is located in the Schwarzenmoor district of Herford, east of the Werre Valley . It is located in the Ravensberger Hügelland and is an extension of the Lipper Bergland , which extends far into the hilly country with the Eggeberg, the Homberg and the Dornberg . The mountain is not to be confused with the Eggegebirge , but probably also got its name from the regional expression Egge for a hill crest .
