Egholm is a 93.9 hectare peninsula on the northern tip of the Danish island of Agersø between Smålandsfarvandet ( German  Smålandsfahrwasser ) and the Great Belt off Zealand . Old nautical charts show that Egholm was still a separate island at the beginning of the 20th century, separated from Agersø by the Egholm Vejle strait .

Egholm belongs to the parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) Agersø Sogn , which until 1970 belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in Sorø Amt , since then to Skælskør Kommune in what was then Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of Slagelse Kommune in the course of local reform on January 1, 2007 the Sjælland region has risen.
