The Egmont Erbstollen is a former Erbstollen in Bochum- Brenschede. The tunnel was also known under the names Egmont-Erbstollen , Egmond-Erbstollen or Egmont-Erbstolln . The tunnel was set up to extend the 5.3 km long St. Mathias Erbstollen further east. The Egmont Erbstollen was one of the most important historical galleries in the Bochum district in the second half of the 19th century .

history

Initially, a wing location of St. Mathias Erstollens was presumably continued before 1842 . This wing location was supposed to loosen the mines Carl Friedrich's Erbstollen and Glücksburger Erbstollen more deeply . To achieve this, a multiple depth of almost 41 meters had to be reached. The Carl Friedrich's Erbstollen colliery initially opposed this plan. For this reason, the further approach to the wing site had to be stopped at a distance of 1448½ Lachtern from the tunnel mouth hole . In 1843 an encouragement was given to continue driving northwards. On December 14, 1844 was carried out ceremony of the right to continue the Erbstollens under the name Egmont Erbstollen under the continuation of Erbstollengerechtigkeit of Glücksburger Erbstollens. The Erbstollen should serve to solve the mines United New Disapproval , Amatus, Christian, Julius Philipp, Glückswinkelburg , Glücksburger Erbstollen, Gottessegen, Christian's Erbstollen and others. In 1845, the United Neue Neßgunst colliery waived its part of the award, which meant that the entire beneficiary fell into the possession of the Glücksburger Erbstollen colliery . On December 27th of the same year the graduation for the further opening of the wing location to the east took place. In 1847, the length of the wing, calculated from the gradation, was 495 laughs. This year 19 to 42 miners extracted 10,685 bushels of hard coal . In the years 1847 and 1848 the consolidation with the Glücksburger Erbstollen to Zeche Glücksburg took place. In 1850 the Erbstollen was one of the most important in the Bochum area. At that time, the tunnel belonged to the Bochum mining district.

In the year 1854 the Erbstollen reaches the right of the Zeche Glücksburg, the Erbstollen now has a length of 2721 Lachtern from the Stollenmundloch. In the mine field passed through , the mining was later carried out by the Carl Friedrich Erbstollen colliery . In 1855, with the exception of the wing towns, the tunnel was only slightly opened. In 1856, the Erbstollen obtained the right of the closed colliery Vereinigte Neue Neßgunst. This year the tunnel was also located in the Rosalie seam of the Glücksburg colliery. The tunnel had meanwhile reached a total length of 1272 1/2 laughs . In 1857, the tunnel was opened by a further 83 Lachter. This year the tunnel had already been driven out of the pit field of the Glücksburg colliery and to the north in the pit field of the Julius Philipp colliery. In addition, the further exploration takes place in the divisive field of God's blessing. At this point in time, the length of the driveway was 2891 1/2 Lachter from the tunnel mouth hole and 1442 Lachter from the gradation. In 1861 the breakthrough took place in the area of the wing with the Heintzmann shaft of the Glücksburg colliery, the length from the mouth hole is now 3411 ½ Lachter. In 1863, the wing location in the Eulenbank seam was raised by 14 lights. The wing location in the Good Hope seam was raised by 34 5/8 laughers. In addition, this year the first and second southern main cross-passages were driven further by more than 28 Lachter. The Grossenebenbank seam was opened up with the first main cross passage and the Samiel seam with the second main cross passage. At that time, the Erbstollen was part of the Dahlhausen mountain district . In the years 1863/64, the Glücksburg colliery was consolidated with the Julius Philipp colliery, making the Erbstollen the property of the Julius Philipp colliery. In 1868, the mining authority repealed the fairness to the tunnel . Even before 1900, the Erbstollen belonged to the Glückswinkelburg field. In 1901 the partially broken tunnel was cleared again .
