Egon Voss

Egon Voss (born November 7, 1938 in Magdeburg ) is a German musicologist who is particularly known for his contributions to Richard Wagner research.

Live and act

Voss studied musicology and German at the universities of Detmold, Kiel, Münster and Saarbrücken. In 1968 he received his doctorate. For many years he worked as a collaborator and editor of the Wagner Complete Edition .

Voss not only published a number of works and life documents by Wagner, Bach and Schumann, but was also otherwise active in researching the history of music theater.
