Egy-Tech Engineering
Egy-Tech Engineering ( Arabic : ايجى تك) is an Egyptian automobile manufacturer based in Cairo that specializes in the development and production of three-wheeled mini cars.
One source confirms the production of auto rickshaws and tricycles and their marketing as Egy-Tech since 1997. Another source from 2017 announces the imminent start of production.
description
After the company was founded in 1997, the team took the popular Thai auto rickshaw Tuk-Tuk from the manufacturer Tuk Tuk Forwarder as a model. But the outdated design from the 1960s did not meet the team's expectations. In line with the objective of bringing a vehicle with a contemporary design onto the market, a few years later the South Korean Daewoo Matiz was used as a template. In 2008 the technical construction for a new design was taken over as a template. The Arab Authority for Industrialization received the order to manufacture the vehicle engines.
In January 2010 the two three-wheeled car models Egy-Tech Maestro and Egy-Tech Micro were presented for the first time at an Egyptian automobile show. Both models are available for unit prices of 17,450 and 17,490 LE . The engines start at 150 cm³ with an output of 11.7 hp . The second version has an engine with a displacement of 175 cm³ and has an output of 13.1 hp. The version with 200 cm³, on the other hand, offers an output of 13.7 hp. The most powerful engine with a displacement of 250 cm³ provides an output of 15.3 hp. The manufacturer specifies the maximum speed for all versions as 60 km / h .
The standard equipment includes seat belts , a cassette radio, a hydraulic brake assistant and display instruments for the speed, temperature and level of the tank.
