Annette Fincke

Annette Fincke (born October 10, 1963 in Magdeburg ) is a former German marathon runner .

In 1986 she was fourth in the GDR marathon championship held as part of the Leipzig Marathon .

The following year she was eleventh at the IAAF World Cup marathon and won silver with the GDR team . She came tenth in the Tokyo International Women's Marathon .

In 1988 she was ninth in the European Cup marathon, won the East Berlin Peace Run over 20 kilometers and was eighth in Tokyo.

In 1989 she was eleventh in the IAAF World Cup marathon and marathon champion in the GDR. In 1990 she finished 17th in the London Marathon , and in 1991 she won the Hamburg Marathon .

Shortly afterwards she married, took the surname Nielsen and withdrew from the competition.

Annette Fincke is a dispatcher and started for the BSG Turbine Magdeburg and the SC Magdeburg .
