The Egyptian Russian University (ERU, Arabic الجامعة المصرية الروسية; Russian Египетско-российский университет ) is a university founded in 2006 in Badr City , al-Qahira Governorate , Egypt. It is the only Russian university in the Middle East . The president is Sherif Helmy.

The first bachelor's degrees were awarded in September 2011. In 2011 about 1,500 students studied at the two faculties of engineering and pharmacology . The course in nuclear power plant technology can be completed in 11 semesters. The language of instruction is English, but some specific courses in the humanities can be offered in Arabic.
