History and description

The former provincial nursing home was built in 1903 by Georg Scherer according to plans by the architect Reinhard Klingelhöffer. In the middle of the ensemble is the former administration building. The former men's building is located north of the administration building. The former women's building is located south of the administration building. To the west of the administration building, in its axis, is the farm building. The symmetrically arranged structures were built in the traditional way as plaster - sandstone structures . The facades of the buildings are structured by various window formats, such as arched windows , simple and linked rectangular windows. The slate-covered half-hip roofs of the individual buildings, various dormer motifs and a clock tower emphasize the traditional rural architectural style. The gate of the no longer used main entrance is divided into three arches. The arches are covered with small beaver tail gable roofs .
