Former Schrautenbach'scher Hof

The former Schrautenbach'sche Hof is a building on the south-eastern outskirts of Rodau , a district of Groß-Bieberau , and is located in the north of the Odenwald in southern Hesse .

Architecture and history

Of the formerly rectangular closed medieval Adelshofanlage - which can still be seen in the cadastral plan - only the three-storey manor house still exists .

The originally medieval structure was given its present form in the 18th century with a broken hip roof . Part of the baroque stucco ceilings have been preserved inside the building .

For historical reasons, the former Schrautenbach'sche Hof was placed under monument protection.
