Eigensinn is a German band from Neuenstadt am Kocher , which was founded in 2003. Her style changed over time from Dark Rock to New German Hardness .

history

The band history of Eigensinn goes back to 2003. Nemesis and Holly had already worked together in the band before. Gradually, the proportion of German texts in their compositions increased, so that in 2003 they renamed the band stubbornly. The original line-up included Nemesis (vocals) and Holly (guitar) Marc Peters on bass and Thomas "Maschine" Paslawski on drums. In the founding year, Eigensinn released the album of the same name, Eigensinn , produced by Jens-Peter Abele. In 2005 Marc Peters left the band and Pat McBazz moved up as bassist. Four years later, the 13-song album The Truth was released . Shortly after the release, Thomas Paslawski split from the band and Ole "Das Tier" took over his position on drums. Three years after this last change, the EP Endorphine was released and two years later, in 2015, Eigensinn released the album Postmortem . At the end of 2017 your current album "Persona non Grata" was released! Pat McBazz left the band in 2018 and Andi Viohl took his place as bassist in the band.

style

Initially still stylistically attributable to Dark Rock , the band now mainly mixes elements from Metal and New German Hardness. This is completed by the voice of singer Nemesis. The texts usually deal with socially critical topics. In their live performances, Eigensinn relies on a performance that is supported by light and fire effects.
