Eiji Miyoshi

Eiji Miyoshi ( Japanese 三 善 英 史 , Miyoshi Eiji ; * September 2, 1954 in Shibuya , Tokyo as Teruhiko Tamura ( ) 照 彦 , Tamura Teruhiko )) is a Japanese enka singer.

Career

Eiji Miyoshi was born the son of a geisha from Maruyama-chō (part of Shibuya). The delicate features and proportions elongate his eyes. Before singing enka, he had received training as a boy scout .

His first song Ame ( 雨 , dt. "Regen") became a big hit . In the same year he was awarded the following prizes: the prize for the newcomer ( 新人 賞 , Shinjinshō ) of the 14th edition of the Japan Record, the second prize in the Shinjuku Music Festival, the prizes for the newcomer and for radio music of the third Japanese Music Awards.

1973 Eiji Miyoshi participated for the first time in Kōhaku Uta alleys with the song Maruyama, Hanamachi, Haha no Machi ( 円 山 ・ 花 町 ・ 母 の 町 , "Maruyama, Hanamachi and the city of the mother") and remained a participant until 1975.

The following songs did not become hits. Eiji Miyoshi works as an actor and tarento .

Others

Although he was married, eyewitnesses reported that he took part in an advertisement disguised as a woman . The rumor that he was homosexual continued for many years until he admitted his bisexuality on June 13, 2007 (according to other information: July 23, 2008) . In a variety show on TV Asahi , he communicated this to his table companion over a drink. The head of the production company sold this to the media, who then rushed to Miyoshi, who under the circumstances could not avoid making it known publicly.

Eiji Miyoshi got married in 1988.

In another candy commercial he appeared with a wig. When he appeared in an advertisement for the wig manufacturer Aderans in 2008, a scene was set up like that from the former hit Ame .
