Eike Küttner

Eike Küttner (born September 19, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player.

Athletic career

Eike Küttner switched from activist Brieske Senftenberg to BFC Dynamo in 1981 , for which he was active in the GDR league from 1984 . In the following years, Küttner had a difficult time with the GDR record champions, behind the established regular players Waldemar Ksienzyk , Frank Rohde and Burkhard Reich , the defensive player was often second choice.

Küttner won the GDR championship four times with the Berliners and the FDGB cup twice . At international level he made nine appearances in the European Cup , in the second leg of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1989/90 he scored his only goal in extra time against AS Monaco . After the failure of FC Berlin in qualifying for the 2nd Bundesliga , Küttner switched to local rivals Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin for one season in 1991 . He then played for three years at Wuppertaler SV , but ended his career in 1997 at Spandauer SV in Berlin . Since then, Küttner has been working as a journalist for ZDF .
