Eiler Christopher von Ahlefeldt

Eiler Christopher von Ahlefeldt (born May 18, 1736 in Nordskov , Denmark , † May 9, 1806 in Altona ) was a German-Danish bailiff .

Life

He was the son of the Rittmeister and noble lord Christoffer Friedrich von Ahlefeldt (1700–1749) and his wife Regitze Sophie geb. von Gyldenkrone (1710–1792), daughter of Baron Jürgen Gyldenkrone, (1682–1714), lord of Østbirk . In 1755 he was initially court junker and chamberlain of Princess Sophie of Denmark . Von Ahlefeldt still served as chamberlain in 1760 and was from 1767 magistrate of Dragsholm, Holbæk Kalundborg and Sæbygård. As early as 1770 he said goodbye, he went to France, where he became Catholic abbot and canon of the bishopric of Soissons . However, the French Revolution forced him to emigrate to Germany, where he finally settled in Altona and died in May 1806.
