The district of Eimersdorf is spatially centrally located in the municipality, on the left bank of the Nied in half-height at the foothills of the Niedgau. Eimersdorf has good transport links via Siersburg to the Saarbrücken-Luxemburg axis. After agriculture has declined in importance in Eimersdorf, Eimersdorf mainly fulfills the function of a residential community. The altitude increases the value of the residential function. history

The first written sources point to the 13th century. For a long time Eimersdorf belonged to Lorraine , fell to France with its transition in 1766 and remained there until the Congress of Vienna . In the course of the territorial and administrative reform , the previously independent municipality of Eimersdorf in the district of Siersburg became a district of the municipality of Rehlingen on January 1, 1974, which was later renamed Rehlingen-Siersburg. Due to the decline in agriculture , Eimersdorf has changed into a purely residential community.
