A case for you and the Tiger team

A case for you and the Tiger team is a crime series for young readers (ages 8 and up) by the Austrian author Thomas Brezina . It appears with the sales brand of the Egmont publishing company Schneiderbuch . The books have already appeared in many countries; they are most successful in China and Germany . In China, the number of Tiger Team books sold is said to be higher than that of the Harry Potter series.

The books

The reader has to guess in the books himself. There are also detailed pictures on which individual objects can be found (for example a pistol in a totally messy room, which proves to the reader and the Tiger team that the occupant of the room lied when he said he did not own a weapon ).

The series is written very fantastically. Mostly (artificially created) monsters and ghosts play a role and the individual adventures have names such as Die Monster-Safari or Die Krallenhand .

The members of the Tiger team are Biggi (for Birgit Borge), Luk (Lukas) and Patrick. These three children (around 11 to 13 years old) have “great” qualities. B. especially athletic, Biggi a brain worker and Lukas the Einstein of the gang. It has a special bag in which you can find various useful items in addition to a palmtop . The palmtop was made what it is today by Lukas himself. For example, it can translate foreign language texts into German and has an integrated lexicon. This palmtop also reveals the solution to the reader at the end of a chapter by placing a special film on it.

Vienna detective game of the city of Vienna

A special project by the City of Vienna in connection with the book series was the Vienna Detective Game, which took place in 2004 and 2005. The young readers were able to get to know Vienna with the help of a free book and puzzle out a code word in the book themselves. With this code word you could register on the Internet and win prizes.

Movie

The adventure film Tiger Team - The Mountain of 1000 Dragons premiered on May 6, 2010 , for which Brezina also wrote the script together with director Peter Gersina . According to the official information in the credits of the film, the film is based on motifs from the book series A Fall for You and the Tiger Team .
