A man against the Mafia (original title: La ragazza dal pigiama giallo ) is a crime film from Italian production, which was directed in 1977 by Flavio Mogherini . The German-language premiere took place in November 1982 on video.

action

A little girl finds a charred body on a beach near Sydney. The old inspector Thimson takes on the case and is able to reveal the confusing and complex story of a Dutch woman, Glenda, who has numerous loves and who is the fatality. The well-to-do surgeon Henry Douglas, the worker Roy, and the idealistic Antonio had relationships with Glenda, who tried to leave her previous life as a model behind. While he investigates, the network of relationships is revealed.

criticism

The film with a nested narrative structure "offers an interesting level, but now and then also has the most trite clichés ready", says Michael Cholewa. The Italian critics also praised: “The film is cleverly built with an original narrative style and a surprising twist. In addition, there is a pleasant rhythm and nice, subtle settings, even if the characterization of the figures is a little one-dimensional. "

Remarks

The German titles of the film are many, of which Ein Mann gegen die Mafia has nothing to do with the content. Others are Bloody Payday , A Second Hand Woman, and A Living Daylight . Almost all versions are shortened; the DVD released in Germany has poor picture quality.

Film music

The songs in the film are sung by Amanda Lear .
