description

The villa in Weinbergstrasse , which is a listed building along with the enclosure wall , was “probably” designed by the architect Alfred Tischer ; for comparison purposes, Tischer 's house at Eduard-Bilz-Strasse 54 “in an objectified homeland style ”. The "generous single-family house" is the fourth on the right in a chessboard-like ensemble of four detached houses (Weinbergstrasse 38, Villa Oswald Haenel , Villa Friedenshain , Weinbergstrasse 46) at the foot of the former vineyard property below the house in the sun (Weinbergstrasse 44). The first and third houses are directly on the street with the garden behind, while the second and fourth have a spacious garden facing south to the street. The entire area is part of the Hermannsberg vineyard of the Haus Hermannsberg winery further west .

The two-storey plastered building on a limestone plinth faces the street with its slightly irregular, five-axis long side. The windows of these axes sit in recessed cleaning pockets , while the sills protrude from the plastered surface. On top of it sits a beaver -tail-covered , high hipped roof , the thickness of which echoes the cubature of historical Loessnitz vineyard houses. There are four saddle dormers in the roof area facing the street . In front of the house there is a wide terrace on a substructure because of the sloping terrain . In front of the left building edge of the street view there is a massive veranda that encompasses the edge with an exit on top.

At the rear of the house towards the mountain and shifted to the west is a single-storey extension with a gable roof .

The fencing on the street is one of the local syenite quarry stone walls.
