The SV Eintracht Gröbers is a German sports club from Gröbers in the Saalekreis . Home is the Gröbers sports field , which can accommodate 1000 spectators. The club is in the tradition of the BSG Traktor Gröbers , in addition to football, badminton , volleyball and bowling are also trained.
Football section
Eintracht Gröbers was founded in 1915 under the name SV Gröbers , later as SV Eintracht Gröbers . Until 1945, the club always acted in a lower class within Central German football, any participation in the Gauliga Mitte or in the finals of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs did not take place.
In 1945 the association was dissolved and re-established as SG Gröbers . In the period that followed, the loose sports group was renamed BSG Traktor Gröbers again with the entry of the Tractor Sports Association and the local LPG .
At the sporting level, Traktor Gröbers consistently played in the lower-class leagues and played no role in the possible promotion to the third or fourth-class Halle district league until 1990. In the 1952/53 season, Gröbers took part in the FDGB Cup once. After qualifying victories over Chemie Zehdenick and Chemie Greppin , Traktor Gröbers qualified for the first main round, in which they lost 2-0 to the second-rate GDR league club Chemie Karl-Marx-Stadt . The competition was canceled because of the popular uprising of June 17, 1953 and was only continued in 1954. In the period that followed, the BSG acted in the insignificance of GDR football and was only active in local local football.
In 1990 it was renamed back to the historical name Eintracht Gröbers . Current league is the state class 7 Saalekreis .
