Alphonse James Schladweiler

Alphonse James Schladweiler (born July 18, 1902 in Milwaukee , USA ; † April 3, 1996 ) was Bishop of New Ulm .

Life

Alphonse James Schladweiler received on 9 June 1929, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 28, 1957, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the bishop of New Ulm. The Archbishop of Saint Paul , William Otterwell Brady , donated him episcopal ordination on January 29, 1958 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Bismarck , Hilary Baumann Hacker , and the Bishop of Boise City , James Joseph Byrne . The inauguration took place on January 30, 1958.

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.
