Life
Harold Joseph dimmer Ling received on 2 May 1940, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On September 11, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Rapid City. The Bishop of Saint Cloud , George Henry Speltz , donated him episcopal ordination on October 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Bishop Emeritus of Saint Cloud, Peter William Bartholome , and Bishop Emeritus of Rapid City, William Tibertus McCarty CSsR .
