Peter William Bartholome (born April 2, 1893 in Bellechester , Minnesota , USA , † June 12, 1982 in St. Cloud ) was Bishop of Saint Cloud .

Life

Peter William Bartholome received on 12 June 1917, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 6, 1941, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Lete and ordered him to Coadjutor Bishop of Saint Cloud. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Amleto Giovanni Cicognani , donated him episcopal ordination on March 3, 1942 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Crookston , John Hubert Peschges , and the Bishop of Saint Cloud, Joseph Francis Busch . On May 31, 1953, Peter William Bartholome became Bishop of Saint Cloud, succeeding the late Joseph Francis Busch.

Pope Paul VI accepted on January 31, 1968 the resignation put forward by Peter William Bartholome for reasons of age and appointed him titular bishop of Tanaramusa . On January 13, 1971, Peter William Bartholome renounced the titular bishopric of Tanaramusa.

Peter William Bartholome attended the first, third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
