Eirik Sverdrup Augdal (born July 20, 1995 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Augdal, who starts for the Ringkollen Skiklubb, became the Norwegian junior champion over 10 km freestyle in Oslo in March 2012 . At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Predeal , he won the bronze medal in the mixed relay and the silver medal in the sprint. In the following year, he won the gold medal in the skiathlon and with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty , he was fifth in the 10 km freestyle and fourth in the skiathlon. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he started in Vuokatti in the Scandinavian Cup for the first time and finished 40th in the sprint, 22nd place over 15 km classic and fifth place over 15 km freestyle. He made his debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in February 2016 in Oslo, which he finished in 44th place in the mass start race over 50 km. At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , he achieved tenth place over 15 km freestyle and sixth place over 15 km classic. In January 2018 he scored his first victory in the Scandinavian Cup in Piteå over 15 km freestyle and his first World Cup points in Seefeld in Tirol with 20th place in the 15 km mass start race. At the end of the season he finished second in the Scandinavian Cup Mini Tour in Trondheim and came second in the overall standings.
