Ek Duuje Ke Liye is a 1981 Hindi film directed by K. Balachander .
action
The story describes the love between the Tamil Vasu and a north Indian woman named Sapna, who are neighbors. Both come from completely different family backgrounds and hardly speak the other's language. In addition, her parents hate each other at all.
When Vasu and Sapna confess their love for each other to their parents, chaos reigns in both family houses and it is refused on both sides. Therefore, the parents introduce a scam to successfully separate the beloved: Vasu and Sapna are separated for a year and are not allowed to establish any contact during this time. If you still love each other after this time, nothing stands in the way of your marriage. Vasu and Sapna agree to this condition and go their separate ways for the time being. Initially, both suffer from the separation.
Vasu moves to Hyderabad . In any case, Vasu meets Sandhya, a widow, and is taught by her Hindi , the mother tongue of Sapna. Meanwhile, Chakram comes to Goa and asks for Sapna's hand, but Sapna refuses his request. Misunderstandings arise because Vasu believes Sapna would like to marry Chakram. He hastily decides to take Sandhya as his wife. Sandhya discovers Vasu's true love and clears up the misunderstandings between the two.
Vasu returns to Goa and impresses Sapna's parents with his knowledge of Hindi. When Vasu finally wants to meet Sapna, he is surprised by an assassin who was hired by Sandhya's brother Danny. Meanwhile, Sapna is raped in a temple. Eventually the story ends with both of them committing suicide. They jump off the rocks.
