Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (translated: once me and once you ) is a Hindi film with romantic and comedic elements.

Rahul is already 25 and an architect by profession, as his parents expected him to be. Otherwise they prescribed everything to Rahul and Rahul always tried to meet these expectations. But the young man is currently in a crisis. He loses his job in Las Vegas and simply cannot confess this to his parents living in India . After all, he doesn't want to be seen as a failure.
As if Rahul didn't already have enough problems, he meets the fun-loving Riana. The mutual psychologist misunderstanding that Rianna accuses him of stalking her. After realizing that this was just a misunderstanding, she wants to apologize to him. And since it's Christmas Eve, she invites him to a pub. Rahul wants to prove to her that he's not so screwed up and they get drunk and party extensively in the streets of Las Vegas - until they end up in a wedding chapel.
The next morning: Rahul and Rianna are married. After the night of partying, both agree - the marriage must be annulled. Nevertheless, Rahul helps Rianna out of her predicament as she is also unemployed and has now also lost her apartment. They become friends while they are together. She even manages to awaken the joy of life in Rahul, so that he accompanies her to India.
In Bombay she shows him her old school and Rahul draws the wrong conclusions from it. He has now fallen in love with Rianna and wants to kiss her. But Rianna blocks what makes Rahul totally angry. They argue and Rahul visits his parents, who he pretends to be in town on business. It is only at a family dinner with his father's business partners that Rahul's collar bursts and he comes out with the truth. The parents are outraged, especially about the marriage to the hairstylist Rianna. But Rahul doesn't care and he returns to Rianna to speak to her. They decide to continue to be friends.
Back in America , they sign the annulment. Since then, his best friend has tried to pair Rahul with some women. But Rahul still hopes that Rianna will fall in love with him.

“The ensemble, which despite Karan Johar as a producer, is free from other superstars or glamor guest appearances, simply shows an excellent performance. Add to that a couple of very pleasant songs, an unobtrusive imagery, fluid montage - and the technically simple and convincing film is finished, which lives through its story and its characters. "
