El Haouaria is a city of around 15,000 and a delegation of around 42,000 inhabitants in the Nabeul Governorate on the Cap Bon peninsula in northeastern Tunisia .

El Haouaria is known for the breeding of birds of prey, especially for the art of falconry . Every year the so-called "Falcon Festival" takes place, which even attracts sheikhs from the Emirates , who watch the show and usually buy one of the falcons. At the entrance to El Haouaria there is a monument with a bronze figure of a peregrine falcon.
