Elden Francis Curtiss
Elden Francis Curtiss (born June 16, 1932 in Baker City ) is Old Archbishop of Omaha .
Life
Elden Francis Curtiss was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Baker on May 24, 1958 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on March 4, 1976 Bishop of Helena . The Archbishop of Portland, Oregon , Cornelius Michael Power , donated him episcopal ordination on April 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Thomas Joseph Connolly , Bishop of Baker, and Francis Peter Leipzig , Former Bishop of Baker.
He was named Archbishop of Omaha on May 4, 1993, and inducted into office on June 25 of the same year. Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation on June 3, 2009.
