Eleanor Campbell

Eleanor Elizabeth Bryce Campbell (born April 13, 1960 in Rothesay , Isle of Bute ) is a British physical chemist and Chair of the Chair of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh .

Her main research interests are the properties of p-aminohippuric acids  (PAH) and fullerenes ( polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons ) in the gas phase, as well as research into porous materials made of carbon in connection with carbon bonds .

The Edinburgh-based research group has existed since 1990.

Career

Your B.Sc. Campbell acquired her degree from Edinburgh University in 1982, and received her PhD there three years later ( Ph.D. in Chemistry ). The Venia legendi acquired Campbell in 1992 in Freiburg , where she worked from 1988 to 1993. From 1993 to 1998 she headed a department at the Max Born Institute in Berlin. From 1998 to 2008 she was Head of Atomic and Molecular Physics at the Faculty of Physics at Gothenburg University . In 2007 she returned to Edinburgh University as Chair of Physical Chemistry and from 2013 as Chair of Chemistry. In addition, she was visiting professor at the Division of Quantum Phases and Devices at Konkuk University in South Korea from 2009–2018 .
