Elektryczne Gitary is a Polish rock band that was formed in 1989.
history
Elektryczne Gitary's predecessor was the band SPIARDL ( Stowarzyszenie Piosenkarzy i Artystów Robotniczych Działaczy Ludowych ), which was founded in 1977. The two band members Piotr Łojek and Jakub Sienkiewicz were also two of the later founders of the Elektryczne Gitary. Elektryczne Gitary itself was founded in 1989, the founders of the band were Piotr Łojek, Rafał Kwaśniewski and Jakub Sienkiewicz. On May 10, 1990 the band gave their first concert, Marek Kanclerz played the drums . Her first singles were Jestem z miasta ( I'm out of town ) and Włosy ( hair ). The band's first record label was Zic-Zac, with whom the first album Wielka radość ( Great Joy ) was released in 1992 . While recording the album, bassist Tomasz Grochowalski joined the band and Robert Wrona replaced Marek Kanczelerz. In 1994 the drummer changed again, and Jarosław Kopeć became the new drummer . In 1996 Elektryczne Gitary switched to PolyGram Polska where they released the concert album Chałtury , on which the saxophonist Aleksander Korecki already plays. In 1997 the soundtrack album Kiler was published for the film of the same name , followed in 1999 by the soundtrack albums Kiler-ów 2-óch and in 2002 Kariera Nikosia Dyzmy for Juliusz Machulski 's films of the same name . In 2006 the band switched to Warner Music Polska. In 2008 Jacek Wąsowski came first as a representative of Korecki and Łojek, later as a permanent member of the band.
