Elena Bellò (born January 18, 1997 in Schio ) is an Italian middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Elena Bellò gained her first international experience in 2013, when she reached the semi-finals in the 800-meter run at the Youth World Championships in Donetsk , where she was eliminated with 2: 08.69 minutes, while she was in the Italian sprint relay (1000 meters) in 2: 10.64 min came in seventh place. The following year she qualified for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , where she finished fourth in the A final in 2: 06.31 minutes. In 2015 she was eliminated from the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna with 2: 09.09 min in the first round, as well as at the 2016 U20 World Athletics Championships in Bydgoszcz with 2: 13.05 min. In 2017 she reached sixth place at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 2: 05.96 minutes and the following year she won the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Jesolo in 2: 04.31 minutes. She also qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated with 2: 02.77 minutes in the lead-up.

In 2019 she finished sixth again at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 2: 07.59 minutes.

In the years from 2018 to 2020, Bellò became the Italian indoor champion in the 800-meter run.
