Elena Geus

Elena Geus (born June 18, 1964 in Marburg an der Lahn ) is a German journalist and editor as well as the head of the service of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung .

Life

Elena Geus grew up in Quickborn near Hamburg and Hofheim am Taunus . In 1983 she passed the Abitur at the Main-Taunus-Gymnasium . She then studied German , art history and theater, film and television studies in Marburg and Frankfurt am Main. She completed her master's degree with a focus on children's and youth literature . In 1997 she graduated with a thesis on the life's work of the writer and storyteller Lisa Tetzner to Dr. phil. During her school and university days, she already worked in various departments of the Frankfurter Allgemeine. Since 1998 she has been the editor of the chief on duty, from 2001 together with Peter Beck (journalist) head of the service of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung . In November 2005, she replaced Werner D'Inka , who was appointed to the editorial board, as head of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung .

Elena Geus has a daughter.
