Elena Zaremba

Elena Zaremba ( Russian Елена Арнольдовна Заремба , Jelena Saremba ; * 1958 in Moscow ) is a Russian opera and concert singer ( mezzo-soprano / alto ).

Life

Elena Zaremba was already on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater in 1984 while studying at the Gnessin Institute in her hometown . Since the 1990s she has appeared at international stages such as the London Royal Opera House , the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Opéra Bastille in Paris, the La Scala in Milan , the Verona Arena , the San Francisco Opera , in Rome, Brussels, Tokyo, Berlin and Vienna as well as at the Bregenz Festival and the Edinburgh Festival .

Elena Zaremba's repertoire includes: a. the title role in Carmen, Dalila (Samson et Dalila), Ulrica ( Un ballo in maschera ), Polina ( Queen of Spades ), Azucena ( Il trovatore ), Marfa ( Chowanschtschina ), Quickly ( Falstaff ) and Erda ( The Ring of the Nibelung ).
