Elenor Holder

Elenor Holder (born May 14, 1951 in Reutlingen , † November 29, 2008 in Cologne ) was a German actress , director and lecturer .

Life

She received her acting training at the New Munich Drama School and attended acting seminars with Augusto Fernandes , Zygmunt Molik and Elsa Wolliaston , as well as the "Camera Acting Workshop" with Jerry Coyle in New York.

Since 1974 she has had theater engagements at the city theaters in Dortmund, Heidelberg, Moers, Oberhausen and Ulm, at the Nationaltheater Mannheim , at the State Theaters in Darmstadt and Karlsruhe , at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and guest performances in Germany, Switzerland and the USA. She worked as a theater director in Heidelberg, Moers and Cologne. She also took on various roles in film and television productions, was a speaker in radio plays and features. In 1997 she brought Meinhard Zanger to teach at the drama school affiliated with the Cologne Theater der Keller , where she taught until 2007.

Elenor Holder last lived in Cologne. She was married to the doctor Matthias Barner, with whom she has two children. She died on November 29, 2008 after a short, serious illness in Cologne.
