Elfriede Meurer (born January 24, 1958 in Dreis ) is a Rhineland-Palatinate politician ( CDU ).

Life

Elfriede Meurer completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman in an architectural office in Wittlich . Since 1990 she has been running a graphics and design studio as a freelance clerk .

Meurer is since 1991 member of the CDU, since 1995 District Chairman of Women Union Bernkastel-Wittlich , since 1999 deputy parliamentary leader in the City Council of Wittlich , since 2005 Deputy District Chairman of the CDU Trier and since 2004 a member of the district council . Since 2001 she has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for the Wittlich constituency . Meurer is also active in the German Child Protection Association . She is a Catholic and the mother of two daughters.
