Eli (* 1998 in Cologne ; real name: Elias Leon Breit ; spelling ELI ) is a German singer - songwriter . He gained fame through the single Change Your Mind , which was used by Telekom in their advertising clips.

biography

Breit began playing the piano and violin at primary school age, and received his first guitar at 11 . He played his first concert in school. When he was 12, he wrote his first song about a girl he was in love with. He also started playing the drums and piano, teaching himself how to play the piano through YouTube tutorials. He worked as a street musician in Cologne and Berlin for several years . Several appearances followed, including in the opening act for The Fray and Cris Cab . Breit won a street casting and then became the new face of a Telekom advertising campaign , which featured him in a commercial and broadcast a street concert by him on April 28, 2018 via live stream on numerous channels. His single Change Your Mind , which can be heard in the commercial and which he wrote with Andrew Tyler, entered the German single charts on April 20, 2018 .
