Eli Cohen

Eli Cohen ( Hebrew אלי כהן; * October 3, 1972 in Cholon ) is an Israeli politician of the Likud Party (since 2019) and the Kulanu Party (until 2019).

He has been a member of the Knesset since March 31, 2015 and since January 23, 2017, he has also been Minister of Economics in the 34th Israeli government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu . Since May 17, 2020, he has also been Minister of Intelligence in the 35th Israeli government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Life

After his military service, Cohen studied economics at Tel Aviv University and at the Open University of Israel . He served as a vice president for the Israel Land Development Company . Cohen is married and has four children.
