Elie Yéghiayan

Elie Yéghia Yéghiayan ICPB (born May 29, 1950 in Aleppo , Syria ) is a Syrian religious and Armenian Catholic bishop of Sainte-Croix-de-Paris .

Life

Elie Yeghiayan joined the Congregation of the Patriarchal Congregation of Bzommar in and received on 24 March 1974, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 23, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Sainte-Croix-de-Paris. The Armenian Catholic Patriarch of Cilicia , Grégoire Bedros XX. Ghabroyan , gave him on 12 August 2018 Bzommar the episcopal ordination . Co-consecrators were his predecessor Jean Teyrouz ICPB, and the emeritus coadjutor archbishop of Istanbul , Kévork Khazoumian ICPB.

On June 27, 2020, Pope Francis also appointed him Apostolic Visitator for the Armenian Catholic faithful in Western Europe.
