Kévork Khazoumian

Kévork Khazoumian , also George Khazoum , (born March 10, 1935 in Chiah , Lebanon ) is emeritus coadjutor of the Istanbul Archeparch of the Armenian Catholic Church in Turkey .

Life

Kevork Khazoumian received on 3 July 1960, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Marasc degli Armeni on 2002 and appointed him auxiliary bishop in the Patriarchate of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholic Church . The episcopal ordination donated him on April 7, 2002 His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX. , the Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Cilicia; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in the Patriarchate of Cilicia, Vartan Achkarian and Jean Teyrouz .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him in 2006 as coadjutor archbishop of Johannes Tcholakian in the Istanbul Archeparch of the Armenian Catholic Church in Turkey.

He was vice-chairman of the Turkish Catholic Bishops' Conference .

On May 21, 2014, the Patriarch of Cilicia, Nerses Bedros XIX. Tarmouni , his resignation.
