Jazeh Tabatabai

Jazeh Tabatabai (* 1931 in Tehran ; † February 9, 2008 ibid) was an Iranian avant-garde artist . In addition to painting , he was active in the fields of sculpture , poetry and drama . He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University (graduated in 1960). He later founded and directed the Modern Art Gallery in Tehran. His works can be seen in the Louvre , Paris and Metropolitan Museum , New York . He has won more than 10 international awards.
