Elio Capradossi (born March 11, 1996 in Kampala ) is a Ugandan - Italian football player . The defender is under contract with AS Roma and is loaned to Spezia Calcio .

Career

Capradossi was born in Uganda's capital, Kampala , but came to Italy with his family when he was two . He was accepted into the youth department of AS Roma and worked through it until 2015.

In August 2015 Capradossi was in the Roma squad for the first time , but did not appear in the 2015/16 season . In August 2016 he was awarded to the second division club FC Bari 1908 . For this he made his debut on September 24th in the 0: 4 against Benevento Calcio . During the 2016/17 season , 22 more appearances for Bari followed. After his return to the Giallorossi , he was awarded again to FC Bari in 1908 and played eleven games for Bari in the 2017/18 season up to and including January 2018. Shortly before the end of the transfer window, Rome ended Capradossi's loan.

National team

Capradossi played in the U16 , U17 , U18 , U19 and U20 national teams of Italy from 2011 to 2017 . He scored four goals in a total of 50 games. He scored two of the goals at the U17 European Championship in 2013 , which made him top scorer together with compatriot Mario Pugliese , Swiss Robin Kamber and Slovak Martin Slaninka . Italy finished the tournament as runner-up European champions.

He has been active in the U21 selection since 2017 .
