Elisabeth Berenberg (born December 2, 1749 in Hamburg ; † January 16, 1822 there ) was a German banker in Hamburg.

Berenberg was the sole heiress of the Berenberg banking family, of Dutch origin, and was the first woman to be a general partner of the Berenberg trading and banking house from 1790–1800 . She was the daughter of the banker Johann Berenberg (1718–1772) and was named after her grandmother Anna Elisabeth Amsinck (1690–1748). With Elisabeth Berenberg, the Berenberg family died out in the male line in 1822.

She was married to the banker Johann Hinrich Gossler , and was u. a. Mother of Hamburg Senator Johann Heinrich Gossler , grandmother of Hamburg's First Mayor Hermann Gossler and great-great-grandmother of First Mayor Johann Heinrich Burchard . Her great-grandson Johann Berenberg Gossler was ennobled in 1888 as von Berenberg-Gossler . Her eldest daughter Anna Henriette Gossler was married to Ludwig Erdwin Seyler , partner or senior of the Berenberg trading house from 1788/90.

Elisabeth Berenberg is commemorated on the double collecting grave plate of the Gossler family in the Althamburg Memorial Cemetery, Ohlsdorf Cemetery .
