Elisabeth "Sissi" Kraml , married Danklmaier (born December 21, 1960 ) is a former Austrian ski racer . She achieved three top 10 placements in the World Cup , a victory in the European Cup and an Austrian championship title .

biography

Kraml comes from a ski-loving family. Her father Wilhelm competed in alpine ski races from the 1950s and later became a coach, and her siblings also took part in competitions. Her son Daniel Danklmaier , born in 1993 , also became a ski racer. Elisabeth Kraml attended the main ski school and the ski trade school in Schladming and was a member of the national team of the Austrian Ski Association from 1977 to 1981 . During this time, she was among the fastest 15 times in the World Cup , including three times among the top ten. She won World Cup points for the first time on January 12, 1979 in seventh place on the downhill from Les Diablerets , and last time she scored sixth on the downhill from Crans-Montana , her best World Cup result, on January 19, 1981 . In between, she achieved eighth place in the combination of Arosa in January 1980. In addition to the World Cup, Kraml won a European Cup giant slalom on the Pizol . At national level, she became Austrian Combined Champion in 1979 , after winning a total of four medals at the Austrian Youth Championships in the previous two years.
