Elisabeth Reich

Elisabeth Reich (born January 31, 1956 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian teacher and politician ( SPÖ ). Reich was a member of the Austrian Federal Council from 2012 to 2015 .

Life

Elisabeth Reich grew up in Haslach an der Mühl , where she attended elementary school. Then she graduated from a high school in Rohrbach , where she graduated in 1974 . She then studied educational science for three years at the Federal Pedagogical Academy in Linz. From 1977 she worked as a teacher at secondary schools . In 2011 she took over the management of the secondary school in Haslach an der Mühl, initially provisionally and from 2012 on as director .

Elisabeth Reich, who not only sits on the regional executive committee of the SPÖ Upper Austria , was also elected deputy district chairman of her party for the Rohrbach district. In 1997 she moved as a member of the council one of the Mühl Haslach. After she was elected to the community council in 2002 , she was appointed vice mayor in 2008.

On April 17, 2012, Elisabeth Reich was sworn in as a member of the Federal Council sent from Upper Austria in Vienna . After the state elections in Upper Austria in 2015 , Reich resigned from the Federal Council on October 22, 2015.

Elisabeth Reich is married and has three children.
